Our Story
Lower Limb Clinic was founded in 2011 by Paul McMullan with a simple mission: to give Belfast specialist podiatry care that goes beyond routine treatment. Having completed his Master's in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University of London, Paul saw an opportunity to bring advanced MSK podiatry to Northern Ireland.
Over the years we have grown from a one-person practice to a team of podiatrists, sports medicine clinicians and, since 2026, a chartered physiotherapist, each bringing their own expertise. We have invested in diagnostic ultrasound, shockwave therapy, pressure-plate gait analysis and VALD strength testing so that diagnosis is measured, not guessed.
In 2020 we took that further by establishing Réalta Labs, our in-house 3D orthotic manufacturing facility. We control every step of the orthotic process, from scanning to fitting, which means better devices and faster turnaround.
Postgraduate Specialists
Our lead podiatrist holds an MSc in Podiatric Sports Medicine and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow; our MSK team carries Master's degrees and postgraduate ultrasound training.
In-House Manufacturing
Through Réalta Labs we design and 3D-print custom orthotics on-site using SLS technology: no outsourcing, no delays.
Diagnostic Excellence
Diagnostic ultrasound, video gait analysis, pressure-plate mapping and force-plate strength testing for an accurate diagnosis, not guesswork.
