Our Story
Lower Limb Clinic was founded in 2011 by Paul McMullan with a simple mission: to provide Belfast with specialist podiatry care that goes beyond routine treatment. Having completed his Master's in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University of London, Paul saw an opportunity to bring advanced MSK podiatry techniques to Northern Ireland.
Over the years, we've grown from a one-person practice to a team of skilled podiatrists, each bringing their own expertise and passion for patient care. We've invested in the latest diagnostic equipment, including diagnostic ultrasound and shockwave therapy, to ensure our patients receive the most effective treatments available.
In 2020, we took our commitment to innovation further by establishing Realta Labs—our in-house 3D orthotic manufacturing facility. This means we control every step of the orthotic process, from scanning to fitting, ensuring unmatched quality and faster turnaround times.
Advanced Qualifications
Our lead podiatrist holds an MSc in Podiatric Sports Medicine—one of few in Northern Ireland with this specialist qualification.
In-House Manufacturing
Through Realta Labs, we design and 3D-print custom orthotics on-site using advanced SLS technology—no outsourcing, no delays.
Diagnostic Excellence
We use diagnostic ultrasound, video gait analysis, and pressure plate mapping for accurate diagnosis—not guesswork.

Paul McMullan
Lead Podiatrist & Clinical Director
Paul founded Lower Limb Clinic in 2011 with a vision to provide specialist MSK podiatry care in Belfast. With a Master's degree in Podiatric Sports Medicine from Queen Mary University of London, he brings expertise in complex lower limb conditions, sports injuries, and biomechanical analysis. Paul also owns Realta Labs, enabling in-house 3D orthotic manufacturing.
Sharon McMullan
Practice Manager
Sharon oversees the day-to-day operations of Lower Limb Clinic, ensuring every patient receives a seamless experience from booking to follow-up. Her attention to detail and commitment to patient care has been instrumental in building the clinic's reputation for excellence since 2011.
Bronagh Martin
Podiatrist
Bronagh is an experienced podiatrist with expertise in routine foot care, nail surgery, and wound management. She has a particular interest in diabetic foot care and works closely with patients to develop personalised treatment plans. Her gentle approach and clinical skill make her a valued member of the team.
Chloe Mullan
Podiatrist
Chloe joined Lower Limb Clinic bringing fresh perspectives and a passion for patient-centred care. She is skilled in general podiatry, biomechanical assessments, and verruca treatments. Chloe's friendly manner helps put nervous patients at ease.
Darren Costello
Podiatrist
Darren brings a wealth of clinical experience to the team, specialising in MSK conditions and sports-related injuries. He holds a Master's degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Ulster University and is currently enrolled in a CASE-certified postgraduate ultrasound course at Brunel University, London. His thorough approach to diagnosis and treatment planning ensures patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their individual needs.

Conleth is an enthusiastic podiatrist with interests in biomechanics and sports injuries. He brings energy and dedication to every patient interaction, with a focus on getting people back to their active lifestyles.
