About Paul
Paul is the founder and Clinical Director of Lower Limb Clinic and its lead podiatrist. He established the practice in 2011 to bring specialist musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry to Belfast, and today divides his time between treating complex lower limb cases and developing the clinical team.
Paul trained in podiatry at Ulster University (BSc Hons) before completing an MSc in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University of London. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, a member of the Royal College of Podiatry, and HCPC registered. He is also a recognised Bupa provider.
Before going into private practice, Paul worked across the NHS, including roles in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. That grounding in high-volume, complex caseloads still shapes how the clinic works today.
His clinical specialism is biomechanics, lower limb injury, and the design and manufacture of CAD/CAM custom 3D-printed foot orthoses. He owns Réalta Labs, the in-house lab that 3D-prints the clinic's orthotics, giving him control of the full pathway from assessment to finished device.
Paul's interest in movement and injury is rooted in his own sporting background in GAA and football. Outside the clinic, he is a dad to a young family.
These days his focus is as much on the team as the treatment room: building and mentoring the podiatrists, physiotherapist and sports medicine clinicians who make up Lower Limb, while continuing to treat MSK presentations at both Belfast clinics.
