What is Foot & Nail Care?
Regular foot and nail care is essential for maintaining healthy, comfortable feet. Whether you're dealing with hard skin, corns, calluses, thickened or fungal nails, or need a diabetic foot assessment, our HCPC registered podiatrists provide expert treatment in a comfortable clinical setting.
At Lower Limb Clinic, our foot care treatments go beyond basic nail cutting. We carry out a thorough assessment of your foot health, screen for vascular and neurological changes, address any problem areas, and provide advice on how to keep your feet in the best possible condition between appointments.
For patients with diabetes, peripheral neuropathy or circulatory conditions, regular podiatric assessments are vital. We provide comprehensive diabetic foot screenings to identify early warning signs and help prevent serious complications such as ulceration and infection.

Our Treatment Approach
Our foot and nail care appointments are tailored to your individual needs. We use sterile, specialist instruments to safely and painlessly treat a range of common foot problems including corns, calluses, hard skin and nail conditions.
Routine Foot Care: Nail cutting, filing and tidying, removal of hard skin and calluses, corn treatment, and a general foot health check.
Diabetic Foot Assessments: A thorough neurovascular assessment including sensation testing (monofilament and tuning fork), pulse checks, and skin integrity review. We categorise your risk level and create a tailored care plan to protect your feet. Regular screening helps prevent ulceration, infection and other diabetes-related foot complications.
Fungal Nail Treatment: Diagnosis and management of fungal nail infections (onychomycosis). We reduce and debride affected nails, provide topical treatment recommendations, and monitor progress over time. Severe or persistent cases may be referred for oral antifungal therapy.
Nail Conditions: Treatment for thickened nails, damaged nails, involuted (curved) nails, and nail reduction using specialist burrs for a comfortable, pain-free result.

"Was very happy with my visit today. Went to have a corn removed and ended up having about 5 removed. Chloe was very informative and so friendly. No doubt I'll be back again hopefully not too soon."
