    What is Neck Pain?

Neck pain is one of the most common reasons patients seek physiotherapy. Whether it developed gradually from desk work, started suddenly after sleeping awkwardly, or followed an injury, most neck pain responds well to expert assessment and targeted treatment.

At Lower Limb Clinic, our clinicians assess your neck in the context of your whole body. Thoracic spine stiffness, shoulder mechanics, and even postural habits all influence the cervical spine. By addressing the full picture, we achieve better outcomes than treating the neck in isolation.

Full-body physiotherapy is launching at Lower Limb Clinic in summer 2026. Register your interest and we will contact you as soon as appointments open.

    How We Treat Neck Pain

Our treatment approach combines skilled manual therapy with posture correction and progressive exercise. We use joint mobilisation and soft tissue techniques to restore movement and reduce pain, then strengthen the deep cervical stabilisers and postural muscles to prevent recurrence. For complex cases, we can integrate diagnostic ultrasound and refer for imaging when clinically indicated.

    MSK Assessment

Thorough cervical spine examination including neurological screening, movement analysis, and assessment of the thoracic spine and shoulders.

    Manual Therapy

Joint mobilisation, cervical traction, soft tissue release, and trigger point therapy to reduce pain and restore range of motion.

    Postural Rehabilitation

Ergonomic advice and deep neck flexor strengthening to address the postural causes of your pain.

    Exercise Programme

Progressive strengthening and mobility exercises targeting the cervical and thoracic spine, shoulders, and upper back.
